If you are thinking about using Zillow’s Zestimate tool to determine the value of your home, there are a few things you should know.

A Zestimate is an algorithm used to estimate the value of your home based on the property size, number of bedrooms and bathrooms, and the local sales in the area.

Zillow’s Zestimate is not always accurate.

So, what’s wrong with the Zillow Zestimate? It’s not always accurate. Zillow has no way of knowing the condition of the property, upgrades you have done, or whether you have made any additions to the house. Zillow also has no way of knowing about your curb appeal or any changes that you have made to the property.

If you’re looking for an accurate estimate, you really can’t rely on Zillow. You are better off calling your local real estate professional for an accurate estimate of your property. They will run a comparative market analysis and let you know what your home is worth in the current market.
